New Figures Show Many Who Die By Suicide Do Not Use Mental Health Service

Many people who die by suicide never come in contact with mental health services.

That's according to the HSE's head of Mental Health Services for Cork and Kerry who was among those to launch a new strategy to tackle suicide rates in Cork. 

Connecting for Life Cork contains 72 actions and is a collaboration of an in-depth consultation with the public, community and voluntary organisations, public bodies and health care professionals.

It's hoped the new four year plan will reduce suicide figures by 10%.
