NEW FLOOD PLAN FOR CLONAKILTY PRODUCED

12 months after Clonakilty was devastated by flooding, a blueprint for flood risk management in the town will be available for a special public forum.. Parts of the West Cork town were torn apart in the summer floods last year with businesses forced to close for a number of months as the clean up operation continued and shop and home owners waited for insurance firms to pay up... A presentation on the preferred flood risk management options for Clonakilty will be made by engineers at a special meeting in the town next Tuesday as efforts are made to reduce the flood risk facing the town..
