New Initiative To Combat Illegal Dumping On Cork's Northside
CCTV is to be installed in Blackpool as a deterrent to illegal dumping.
It comes as the City Council and Probation service has come together in an initiative aimed at cleaning up the north side of the city.
The Evening Echo reports that the project sees offenders picking up waste across the city, with up to 50 bags of waste recovered from a section of a river running through Blackpool in one day.
The council says the new project is aimed at tackling litter blackspots.
