New Irish dictionary to be completed in 2015

Bondholder, retweet and cyberbullying are among some of the words that will appear in a new English-Irish dictionary. It will be the first major publication of an English-Irish dictionary in over 50 years and there has already been huge interest from Irish speakers, students and teachers. A team of 71 people has worked on the publication since 2000 and it is due for completion in 2015. Other words to be included in the dictionary are; App — Aip Cloud computing — Néalríomhaireacht Defriend — Cairdeas a scaoileadh le duine Ghost estate — Eastát tréigthe Live streaming — Beoshruthú Microblogging — Micreabhlagáil Negative equity — Cothromas diúltach Tweet — Tvuít
