New Lord Mayor Says We're In "Touching Distance" Of The Highly Anticipated Events Centre

The sod was turned on the project in February 2016
It follows recent confirmation by the chief executive of the projects' contractors BAM, that a change in planning means the Events Centre is facing another delay and it will be tight to try and meet the construction start date of the last quarter of this year.
Frustration is mounting among local traders, many of whom have told RedFM News they're depending on the boost the facility will bring in terms of footfall.
Speaking to RedFM News Lord Mayor Cllr Mick Finn says he's hopeful the project will get underway during his term of office:
