New Reservoir To Solve Persistent Problems With The Water Supply In Killdorrery In North Cork

The village has suffered from low water pressure and broken water mains for over 5 years due to an ageing reservoir
The County Council say they have secured permission for a new reservoir for the area and say they expect to begin construction by the end of the year.
Elsewhere, the Council are to undertake work to reduce the level of iron in the water in Bweeng after a number of people who were dying their hair blonde found repeated washing turned their hair green.
The Irish Examiner reports that the Council plan to install a new chlorination and pH correcting system to lower acidity caused by the iron
