New survey shows house values have soared over the past 12 months

The study from property agents DNG says the estimated value of a home is up 11% t year on year
This is the highest level of inflation the company has measured since 2017.
DNG director of research Paul Mur says values have increased over the last few months
"To December 2020 prices were on the rise at around about 1% per annum so inflation has really picked up in the first six months, that's been driven primarily by a lack of available stock in the second hand market where the amount of homes currently available for sale is about 35% lower than a year ago."
