New tax incentive for Cork city

It's part of the Living City Initiative revealed today.
A new tax incentive programme has been announced for Cork city.
The Living City Initiative was formally launched earlier today and will cover Ireland's six cities.
It'll see people able to claim income tax deductions for expenditure on refurbishment of homes or retail space in certain parts of the city - but the building must have been built before 1915 to qualify.
Cork City Council says the initative is encouraging people to live in the historic centres of the city and regenerate residential and commercial buildings.
In Cork, the scheme will focus on Special Regeneration Areas of the city.
Environment Minister Alan Kelly says it's about bringing life back into the hearts of our cities.
