Nine cases of human trafficking confirmed in Cork in 2016

There was nine confirmed cased of human trafficking in Cork last year.
RedFM News has also learned that so far this year there's already been two confirmed cases of the crime.
The latest report from the Department of Justice shows an increase of 70% in the number of detections of people being trafficked in Ireland.
Of these people 62% were trafficked for the purpose of sexual exploitation.
Speaking to RedFM News Mary Crilly of Sexual Violence Centre Cork says the women in question have been through a traumatic ordeal:
