No changes to Cheetah Run following incident at weekend

Management at Fota Wildlife park say they won't be making any changes to the Cheetah Run after a cheetah became caught in it over the weekend.
The animal got its paw caught on the feeding line at the Wildlife Park yesterday afternoon in front of onlookers and two members of staff had to enter the enclosure and free him.
The cheetah, who had only been using the run for the last 5 weeks, was uninjured but distressed after the incident and had to be tranquilized to allow for a full medical examination which gave him a clean bill of health
Sean McKeown of Fota told RedFM News that the Cheetah Run first came into use 16 years ago and this is the first incident of it's kind at the Wildlife Park
