No Garda Investigation at Apple

Gardaí have confirmed they have not received an official complaint from Apple management about drug taking at its European headquarters in Hollyhill. It comes following a newspaper report yesterday which alleged that bosses at the tech giant employed a private security company to check for drug traces at the plant. It was reported that a sniffer dog was used to check out the facility, where more than 3,000 people are employed, and around 14 desktops showed traces of cocaine and cannabis. The operation took place at night when staff had gone home. Apple have issued a statement on the matter saying it has "a zero tolerance toward drug use and possession.” Gardai have confirmed they have not received any complaint from Apple and are not carrying out an investigation.
