Norwegian Air's Cork - Boston Route Takes Positive Step Forward
Norwegian Air's proposed Cork - Boston service appears to have moved a step closer to becoming a reality.
It's after White House Press Secretary, Sean Spicer said it was unlikely President Trump would reverse a decision by the Obama administration to grant Norwegian a foreign carrier permit.
Sean Spicer told a press briefing at the White House yesterday that the decision by the US Dept of Transportation in December to grant a foreign carrier permit to Norwegian Air Shuttle's Irish subsidiary, Norweigan Air International was important for American jobs.
He said the deal is a major economic interest in the United States in the agreement right now and he confirmed that President Trump will tomorrow meet leaders of the aviation industry in the USA - many of whom fear the new rouets will lead to increased competition on transatlantic routes.
Speaking to RedFM News Communications Manager at Cork Airport Kevin Cullinane says the routes will boost tourism and trade between the two countries:
