NTA proposes new bus routes for The Glen

The National Transport Authority has proposed an additional three buses for the Glen and has given a commitment to look at future services. The No 12 route was axed in August following an NTA review of transport in Cork. The decision was slammed for leaving pensioners with no direct bus link to Blackpool and schoolchildren with no link to St Aidan’s Community College in Dublin Hill. However, the NTA has plans to run additional services for these two groups. The new measures could by implemented by the 9th of December. Local campaigners will meet on Tuesday, November 26th at 7.30pm in the Glen Resource Centre to discuss the proposals. All members of the communities in the Glen and Dublin Hill are invited to attend.
