Number Of Social And Affordable Homes Set To Be Doubled In New Developments
It's part of government's plan to tackle the housing crisis
In an interview with the Sunday Independent, new Housing Minister Darragh O'Brien says they'll be increased from 10 to 20 percent.
He also says the salary cap threshold will be increased to 50,000 euro for single people and 75,000 euro for couples.
It's hoped the move will make it easier for thousands of first-time buyers to get on the property ladder.
