Nurses In Cork University Hospital Say They Have Very Little Confidence In The Health Minister

The trolley crisis continues wreak havoc in the A&E

Patients are lying on trolleys in every free space in the department waiting for a bed, while staff are struggling to cope with conditions that have been likened to a war zone. 

An urgent meeting was held between INMO representatives and HSE officials at the CUH this morning where calls where made once again for increased bed capacity.

The Health Minister Simon Harris has pledged an additional 199 beds across the country by the end of the month but the sentiment among medical professionals in Cork is that it's too little too late.
