Nursing Staff at CUH praised after patients speak out about long delays in A&E
Nursing staff at Cork University Hospital have come in for high praise from patients who faced waiting times of up to 10 hours at the Emergency Department last night.
Trolley Watch figures released at lunchtime showed that 49 people were lying on trolleys at the hospital which reflects the high numbers that attended an over crowded ED last night...
The situation was described by some as "chaotic" as the long wait, coupled with the stifling heat saw staff working under immense pressure as there weren't enough beds of trolleys for people...
Cllr Melissa Mullane was among the people in the emergency department last night, speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM she said at one point there was standing room only in the waiting room
