Objections To Removal Of Historic Anchor In Cobh
Concern has been expressed that a historic anchor will be moved from a museum in Cobh.
The anchor from the gun-running ship The Aud is currently on display at the Queenstown Heritage Centre in Cobh however a request has been made to move it to Spike Island where an exhibition on the ship has recently opened.
Councillors in the Cobh area have voiced their opposition to the removal of the anchor from Cobh citing concerns that people will now have to pay to see it.
