Cork's Rob Heffernan will at last receive his bronze medal for the 2012 Olympics in November.
The World Championship gold medallist finished fourth in the 50KM walk in the London Games, but was upgraded to third earlier this year when the Russian winner Sergei Kirdy-apkin was disqualified for doping.
The athlete will be presented with the medal in the City Hall on November the 3rd.
It is the first time that an Olympic Medal will be presented on Irish Soil.
