One year since Alan Kurdi died - Syrian refugees say nothing has changed

Ireland has taken in just 311 Syrian refugees in the year since the Government announced plans to accommodate 4000.
A year ago today, a photograph of the lifeless body of Alan Kurdi washed up on a Turkish beach captured the attention of the world.
But Alan Kurdi's father has told a German newspaper he feels European leaders have forgotten Syria - and says nothing has changed for refugees.
A spokesperson for the Department of Justice here says the target to take in 4000 refugees has not changed, and blames delays in Italy and Greece for the slow pace of resettlements from there.
