Online petition launched in bid to reopen 'The Pav'
An online petition has been launched in an attempt to get one of Cork's best-known live music venues reopened. It comes after yesterday’s announcement that The Pavilion on Carey's Lane has closed its doors. Launched in the 1921 the venue better known as 'The Pav' has hosted some of the biggest names in music including Kanye West and Franz Ferdinand. The online petition which pledges to get 5,000 signatures hopes owners will reconsider their decision to close the iconic city centre venue.
