Opel investigating after a Zafira B model burst into flames in Cork

The car had been about to board the Cross River Ferry when the fire broke out in the dashboard area
An investigation has been launched after a car in Cork became engulfed in flames.
Opel says it's been made aware of an issue affecting a small number of Zafira B model vehicles which were launched in 2005.
It says it'll now work with authorities in Passage West to find out what caused the fire reported in the vehicle there yesterday..
The car had been about to board the Cross River Ferry when the fire broke out in the dashboard area. The driver managed to escape uninjured but the front of the car was engulfed in flames and was destroyed..
