Opposition To A Proposed Motorway Between Limerick And Cork Is Growing
The final route is expected to be announced later this year
Some oppose the current proposals for the M20 motorway between the two cities.
There are calls for the N24 between Limerick and Waterford to be upgraded instead - as it contains a link to Cork through the M8 motorway.
Chair of the Cork Limerick Alliance Group, Brian Hyde, believes the M20 isn't viable especially at its estimated cost:
