Orange Weather Warning for Cork
An Orange weather warning for heavy rain has been issued for Cork by Met Eireann.
Further flooding could be on the cards Leeside with over 50 millimeters of rainfall expected today.
Some towns in Cork have been hit badly by flooding in recent months and there is a fear that these areas could be affected again.
South Mall, Wandesford Quay, South Tce, Fr Mathew Quay, Lower Glanmire Rd, and parts of Midleton and Cobh are all experiencing flooding as the River Lee has burst it's banks.
Roads between Carrigaline and Crosshaven, as well as Cork to Kinsale near Worlds end are currently unpassable.
Gardai are urging motorists to slow down on the roads and not to enter floodwaters unless they are sure of the depth.
A yellow alert is in place in counties Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford until 6am tomorrow morning.
