Orange Weather Warning issued for Cork
The warning is valid until the early hour of tomorrow morning.
Met Eireann says Storm Eva won't be as severe as Storm Desmond.
An orange alert is in place for Cork as well as Kerry, Clare, Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Donegal where gusts of up to 120 kilometres per hour are likely up until 10 o'clock tonight.
A yellow alert for wind is in place for Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim, Roscommon, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford.
Met Eireann forecaster, Evelyn Cusack, says people can expect strong winds in parts.
