Orange Weather Wind Alert In Operation Across Cork

Storm Fionn is expected to bring some coastal flooding especially in West Cork
An arctic blast has hit the country with three separate weather warnings in place.
A nationwide yellow alert has been issued for snow and ice.
While an orange wind warning is in place for Cork city and county as Storm Fionn will bring strong westerly winds which are expected to gust up to storm force in places this afternoon and evening. A yellow advisory has also been issued for high seas
Cork County Council's Severe Weather Assessment Team has convened in response and are warning that Bandon, Bantry, Clonakilty and Skibereen have been identifed as being at greatest risk of flooding. High tide is due to hit West Cork before 5pm this evening and at 5.25pm in the city
The Council is closely monitoring the situation with response crews on notice and on standby.
