Over 100 people have donated almost €3,000 to help Fota Wildlife Park

The 100 acre park, which is one of Ireland's most popular attractions, spends around €44,000 on food and vet bills every month.

The GoFundMe campaign was set up yesterday after management at the park said they may have to close permanently if visitors aren't allowed to return soon.

Around 460,000 people visited the park every year before the pandemic.

People can also donate to the non-profit organisation on their website.
