Over 10,000 Admitted Patients Were Forced To Wait For A Hospital Bed In January

Cork University Hospital was the second worst-affected hospital in the country
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation says CUH had 947 patients without a bed.
The union says the January figures are an underestimate as they do not include figures from Wednesday when nurses and midwives were on strike.
Cork Univeristy Hospital is the most overcrowded hospital in the country today, with 43 patients waiting for a bed in overflow areas and corridoors.
11 people are without a bed at Bantry General, while there are 10 on trolleys at the Mercy University Hospital.
