Over 330 Extra College Places Announced For UCC And CIT

In total 332 extra places have been confirmed in Cork
It brings the total number of extra college places across Ireland for the 2020/21 academic year to over 6,300.
The additional places have been brought in by the Minister for Further and Higher Education Simon Harris to alleviate the impact of the calculated grades used for this year's Leaving Cert, and the jump in CAO points as a result.
Students applying for a college degree through the CAO are reminded they have until the deadline on Wednesday at 3pm and that the Leaving Certificate student helpline is available at 1800 265 165.
