Over 6,000 People In The City Are In Need Of Long Term Housing

The latest housing figures which will be unveiled in City Hall tonight show that over 4,000 are on the housing list
An additional 2,041 people are availing of the HAP and RAS schemes.
Over 1,000 houses are in planning and construction phases in the city at the moment however it's feared this rate of building won't be enough to keep pace with the ever growing housing need.
Speaking to RedFM News Cllr Thomas Gould says at least 2,000 homes have to be built every year to keep pace, and the housing needs to be a mix of social and affordable housing:
