Over 700 patients on trolleys in three Cork hospitals last month

759 patients were lying on trolleys at three Cork hospitals last month. The figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Association come as a task force is meeting this evening, to discuss plans to ease waiting lists for beds in hospitals. February recorded the highest number of people ever waiting on trolleys, with over 9,500 people lying on trollies in hospital corridors around the country. According to the INMO's Trolley Watch figures 36 people are lying on trolleys at Cork University and the Mercy University Hospitals today. Liam Doran, General Secretary of the INMO says the figures are shocking. Click the PLAY button above to hear.
