Over 9,000 Cork Homes & Businesses Without Power After Storm Callum

Over 9,000 homes and businesses are without power Cork this morning after Storm Callum hit the country with high winds and flooding overnight.

A Status Orange Weather alert is in effect in Cork city and county until 9 o'clock this morning as damaging gusts of up to 130 kilometres an hour sweep in from the Atlantic.

 

There are also reports of localised and tidal flooding as high tide approaches at quarter past 8 this morning.
