Parents In East Cork Face A Summer Of Uncertainty And Distress Over School Places

They're calling on the Department of Education to implement a new school place allocation system as many of their children do not have a secondary school place for September
That's Keith Griffin from Midleton who is one of over 100 parents whose children cannot secure a secondary school place in their locality.
Like many other parents in East Cork in his situation he says it's an isolating position for his child to be in, and at number 117, 108 and 99 on three different waiting lists for local schools the Griffin family face a long summer of uncertainty after schools shut in May.
