Cork Airport's passenger numbers are on the rise with new figures showing they're up 9.4% in May on last year's figures
Management at the Airport says all markets are showing growth including Northern Europe, UK Provincial, London and Southern Europe with the upward trend predicted to continue throughout the rest of the year
The figures translate to an additional 65,000 passengers so far in 2016 compared to the same period last year
Niall MacCarthy, Managing Director at Cork Airport says based on anticipated bookings and capacity they're forecasting total passenger numbers of 2.25 million people travelling through Cork Airport this year.
