Patients presenting at the emergency department at Cork University hospital are experiencing long delays
The hospital says the ED is exceptionally busy and the pressure on the department has been exacerbated by the continued impact of the recent Cyber Attack on the HSE.
People are being encouraged to consultant with their local GP, pharmacist or Local Injury Clinic before turning up at the department
Speaking to RedFM News Professor Conor Deasy, Emergency Medicine Consultant at CUH says the situation is being treated as a priority however due to the cyber attack they are effectively working on manual systems
