Penneys reopens in Cork and across the country

Penneys stores were asked by Gardaí to open earlier than expected this morning, due to large queues forming outside.
16 of their 36 shops have reopened for the first time since March, with some queuing outside from 3am.
Here in Cork on Patrick Street, pyjamas, socks, underwear, lashes and bikinis were top of the list for shoppers anxiously waiting to get into the new look, socially distant Penneys.
The shop has been redesigned for social distancing, with extra security staff in place and changing rooms, makeup counters and customer toilets staying closed.
Crowds gathered from early morning with queues forming right down the street and winding it's way back around to Cook Street
