People across Cork are being urged to support Sunflower Day
Taking place today and tomorrow - it aims to help local hospice groups improve the lives of people at end of life in their communities
Marymount Hospice supported more than 3,000 families in Cork last year and they need to raise €3 million each year to continue to provide existing services.
Pat Quinlan - Chair of the Voluntary Hospices Group - says volunteers play a huge role in their fundraising efforts.
