People across Cork urged to support Childline
People across Cork are being urged to support Childline which needs to raise €1.2m to keep it's night-time service running. 45,000 calls were made to Childline between the hours of 3 and 8 am last year. The night time phone lines are operated by paid staff and Childline is 95% publicly funded. The closure of the phone lines at this time will have a devastating impact on children in need.
