People urged to seek help this Gamblers Anonymous Awareness week
A Cork man who is recovering from a gambling addiction says gambling turned him into a liar and a thief... Joe says he would gamble his wages every week and when his money ran out he would lie and steal to feed his addiction.. GambleAware estimates that €10,000 is gambled every 60 seconds in Ireland which amounts to over €5 billion each year Speaking to RedFM News Joe admits that gambling prevented him for being a good husband and father as his addiction took over his life [CLIP] Gamblers Anonymous Awareness week is running until September 14th and anyone who seeking advice is being encouraged to make contact with any Gamblers Anonymous branch.
