The action is being taken in a row over what unions claim are a change to workers pay and conditions
Mandate says Tesco has the capacity to prevent the strike by withdrawing their threat to cut workers' wages without agreement or by attending the Labour Court for a hearing on the matters in dispute.
Pickets will be mounted at 7 o'clock on Monday morning on the 9 Tesco stores across Cork and the union says will remain in place until Tesco Ireland reverses their cuts or confirms attendance at the Labour Court.
