Pickets to be placed on 70 Tesco stores around the country next week

The action is being taken in a row over what unions claim are a change to workers pay and conditions

Mandate has confirmed that pickets will be placed on more than 70 Tesco stores around the country on Monday the 16th of May

The action is being taken in a row over what unions claim are a change to workers pay and conditions

Mandate says Tesco has the capacity to prevent the strike by withdrawing their threat to cut workers' wages without agreement or by attending the Labour Court for a hearing on the matters in dispute.

Pickets will be mounted at 7 o'clock on Monday morning on the 9 Tesco stores across Cork and the union says will remain in place until Tesco Ireland reverses their cuts or confirms attendance at the Labour Court.
