Pieta House in Cork welcomes increase in service users

Pieta House has welcomed the increase in the number of people using their services in Cork.

Over the past 6 weeks they have seen a 50% increase in people calling to avail of their mental health service.

Extra therapists have been brought in to meet the increase in demand following a spike in suicides in Cork over the past few weeks.

Speaking to RedFM News Sylvia O'Driscoll from Pieta House says they see the increase in demand as a positive thing, as people know help is available:
