Pieta House Says Children As Young As 8 Are Self-Harming In Ireland

There's been a rise in the number of people seeking help from the charity with the highest rates among children and young adults
Last November RedFM News reported how Pieta House in Cork revealed that children as young as five are accessing their services
The suicide prevention charity says mental health issues are becoming very prominent among children and adolescents.
St. Patrick's Mental Health Services is hosting a conference today to highlight the need for more education around self-harm.
Ireland has the highest rate of child suicide for girls in the EU with women twice as likely to be affected by depression than men.
