Pieta House to employ 200 additional therapists

Pieta House has announced that it is to hire additional therapists.
The Echo report that the suicide and self harm prevention charity is to employ 20 qualified and accredited therapists nationwide, with three of those in the Cork region.
Over 200 therapists and support staff are already employed by the charity in 20 locations across the country, with the centre in Shankiel in Cork City opening in 2018.
Pieta House says it has seen a 30% increase in calls in texts compared to last year, and that the additional therapists will help to meet the increased demand on their services.
