Pistorius unable to give evidence because of mental state

A psychologist has told a court in South Africa that Oscar Pistorius will not be able to give evidence during his sentencing hearing because of his mental state.

The paralympic athlete is facing a return to jail for murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp three years ago.

The trial has also heard they had a "normal loving relationship" with "no signs of abusive behaviour".

The hearing is expected to last all week with a sentence by Friday.

Pistorius could be facing 15 years in prison.
