Plane at the centre of an emergency landing at Cork to be inspected

The plane at the centre of an emergency landing at Cork Airport last night will be inspected today. The chartered plane was on its way from Belfast to Reus in Spain when it was forced to divert to Cork after the pilot reported a suspected fuel leak. Over 150 people were on board the Air Contractors flight - which touched down at Cork Airport just after midnight and was attended to by emergency crews. The pilot managed to land safely and all passengers and crew were safely evacuated and accomodated in the city overnight. All passengers are expected to be able to continue onto Spain on a replacement jet later today. Head of Communications at Cork Airport Kevin Cullinane told RedFM News that following an inspection no fuel was found on the runway
