Planning decision on Starbucks expected next month
A decision on a planning application from Starbucks for it's Princes Street outlet is expected next month..
Starbucks opened the Princes Street outlet 18 months ago, along with two others at Opera Lane and Patrick Street, without the necessary planning and after discussions with the City Council the decision on planning was referred to An Bord Pleanala.
In March the appeals body ruled that the three developments do amount to a change of use meaning planning permission is needed for all outlets.
Starbucks removed the seating from the Princes Street and Patrick Street stores - but in recent days they've applied for planning to retain permission for the Princes Street store to use the unit as a coffee shop with seating.
A decision is due on the September 21st next.
