Plans for €6 million fish farm in Bantry Bay have been approved

Salmon Producer Mowi first applied for the licence to operate the 18 cage farm in 2011 and says eight people will be employed when the farm is in operation.
The plan for Shot Head has proved controversial, with a number of groups objecting over the past ten years.
Conservation charity Friends of the Irish Environment say they are 'gutted' by the decision.
Mowi employs 300 people at it's salmon farms, hatcheries and processing facilities in Ireland.
It's expected construction of the off-shore fish farm will take around 14 weeks.
