Plans for relief road in Carrigaline move to development stage
Work on a €7 million relief road in Carrigaline will begin in May 2018.
Works on this project began over a decade ago but difficulties securing funding have seen the project delayed.
County Mayor Cllr SEamus McGrath confirmed the relief road has moved on to the design phase, which will take approximately 12 months to complete.
The new road will allow traffic bypass the town centre to ease traffic congestion, and facilitate the expansion of the town centre on zoned development land.
