Plans to build thousands of new homes in Carrigtwohill being drawn up

The Irish Examiner reports while it's not yet known exactly how many homes will be build, it's expected to be over 2,500.
The proposed site is north of the rail line and close to Waterrock in Midleton.
Councillors are due to be presented with the plans in the third or fourth quarter of this year.
It's also being reported that 1,000 homes could be built in Waterrock over the next 10 to 15 years.
