Plans To Cut 20% Of The Cork Intern Workfoce This Year Will Have 'Huge Impacts' On Patients And Staff

That's according to one Cork doctor
Hundreds of additional intern jobs were created in the wake of the pandemic however it's understood the decision has been made not to offer the additional jobs to the 2021 cohort of interns.
It'll affect five hospitals here in Cork to the tune of 18 doctors and questions have been raised about the impact of this particulalry in the midst of a global pandemic.
RedFM News has requested a statement from the HSE.
