The residential tenancies board are meeting in City Hall
The residential tenancies board are meeting in City Hall to hear an appeal by the residents of the complex against their eviction.
The apartments were purchased last year by vultre fund Lugus Capital who issued eviction notices on the grounds of substantial refurbishment.
However residents hit back claiming the work could be done without eviction. Something an independent report which carried out by Kieran Spitere Consulting Engineers confirmed.
It's a case that could have national implications as it's expected the hearings will act as a test case for the new RTB guidelines on substantial refurbishments.
Resident of the complex Aimee O'Riordan is in City Hall today for the case and speaking to RedFM News she says all the residents are feeling anxious as their fate is in the hands of the adjudicators:
